Leeds Teaching School Hub is delighted to be able to offer all schools in Leeds one free place on this CPD programme

Summary

Inclusive Practices within a Mainstream Classroom focuses on impactful quality-first teaching where inclusive practices are embedded to enable students with SEND and additional needs to make accelerated progress.

The CPD programme encompasses the SEND four areas of need, whilst developing an understanding of the overlapping need for many pupils with SEND. Participants will explore how to develop an exceptional classroom environment which is inclusive, without exception, for all pupils and understand how to personalise strategies that ensure all students with SEND have an equality of access to the curriculum. We will work with teachers to ensure they understand the needs of individuals within their setting (including those students with comorbidity) and their statutory responsibility to deliver the graduated response.

Inclusive Practices within a Mainstream Classroom will also explore autism and how teaching can be adapted to meet the needs of these learners.
