National Professional Qualifications

High quality, fully-funded programmes

From September 2021 all schools have had a responsibility to ensure that professionals are guided towards an important range of National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) being delivered through teaching school hubs. These are centred around middle leadership, senior leadership, headship and executive headship level training.

We are committed to ensuring that our offer of NPQs expertly meets the NPQ Content and Assessment Framework and is brilliantly delivered to enhance the work of teachers and leaders in the Leeds city region who aspire to expand their knowledge and skills. We are delighted to have selected and be partnered with Teach First to deliver this new suite of DfE accredited qualifications. Teach First has 18 years’ experience designing and delivering high-quality training to schools that need it most.

We deliver the full suite of NPQs including three reformed Leadership NPQs (NPQSL, NPQH and NPQEL), three specialist NPQs that were introduced in 2021 (NPQLT, NPQLTD and NPQLBC) and two brand new NPQs that will be delivered for the first time in 2022 (NPQLL and NPQEYL).

Leeds Teaching School Hub strive to deliver the vast majority of our NPQ seminars in a face-to-face setting allowing colleagues from across the city to come together, network with one another and have dedicated time to reflect on, refine and develop their practice.

Our next NPQ cohorts commence in October 2022, and we are delighted to now be accepting applications. If you would like to find out more about NPQs and how to apply, book onto one of our information webinars by clicking on the date below.
