Leeds Teaching School Hub works in partnership with Teach First and is delighted to continue to run the full suite of NPQs in 2024 – 2025, this will include the brand new NPQ for SENCOs qualification. The NPQs available are:

Leadership NPQs

  • NPQEL – NPQ in Executive Leadership
  • NPQH – NPQ in Headship
  • NPQSL – NPQ in Senior Leadership
  • NPQEYL – NPQ in Early Years Leadership
  • NPQ for SENCOs

Specialist NPQs

  • NPQLT – NPQ in Leading Teaching
  • NPQLTD – NPQ in Leading Teacher Development
  • NPQLBC – NPQ in Leading Behaviour and Culture
  • NPQLL – NPQ in Leading Literacy
  • NPQLPM – NPQ in Leading Primary Mathematics

If you are interested in completing an NPQ in 2024 – 2025, please complete an expression of interest form.

If you chose to complete your NPQ with Leeds Teaching School Hub you will:

  • Have sessions delivered to a high standard by kind and professional facilitators
  • Access a wide range of rich, up to date resources on the Teach First online portal
  • Receive clear and accurate information, in a timely manner
  • Be working with a hub that has a 100% pass rate on all Leadership NPQs

Leeds Teaching School Hub strives to deliver the majority of our NPQ seminars in a face-to-face setting allowing colleagues from across the city to come together, network with one another and have dedicated time to reflect on, refine and develop their practice.

In March 2024 the DfE announced the NPQ Scholarship funding for autumn 2024, the funding targets will schools or educational settings, serving more disadvantaged communities.

Scholarship funding to cover the full NPQ course cost will be available to teachers and leaders from:

  • the 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding
  • 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage

For the early years leadership NPQ, highly disadvantaged early years settings will also be eligible.
Scholarships will continue to be available to all teachers and leaders from publicly funded schools and 16 to 19 educational organisations for the following NPQs:

  • Leading Primary Maths
  • SENCO
  • Headship
